Church Road Chardonnay boasts of ripe stone fruits, balanced with subtle acid. Hints of oak gives this bold number toasty buttered popcorn and soft caramel aroma while equally expressing ripe fruits nectarine and persimmon. A balanced wine for those new to Chardonnay and those with experience!

Flavours and aromas range from subtle red fruits and stone fruit, through to more lifted floral, guava, gentle herbal notes and flinty, mineral complexity. A finely textured wine with subtle light berry, guava and floral notes complemented with savoury undertones.

Fruit is left longer on the vine to increase concentration and accentuate the floral and spice notes of these grapes.

Appealing ripe pear, peach, rose water and ginger spice aromas are evident on the nose. On the palate the wine is lush and full bodied with a moderate level of sweetness balanced by gentle acidity and a touch of ginger spice on the finish.

The wine has rich pink tones, with aromas of bright raspberry and strawberry fruits. On the palate the wine is fine textured and fleshy through the mid palate, finishing with a gentle sweetness, balanced by a crisp acidity and a lingering finish.

The aromatics are fresh and expressive with pink grapefruit, passion fruit, elderflower and gentle herbal notes with elements of richer tropical fruits. The palate is medium weight, gentle and fresh with excellent flavour persistence. This is complimented by underlying flinty and mineral notes.

A core of fruit suggestive of citrus, citrus blossom, white peach, and fresh fig provides the base that carries layers of savoury complexity including toasted hazelnut or cashew, brioche and driftwood smoke. On the palate, notes of roasted hazelnut, nougat and toasted brioche, along with a wisp of woodsmoke and struck flint, combine to bring a serious savoury element to the wine.

On the nose, nashi pear and white blossom greet you with supporting notes of citrus and candied ginger. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and poised with bright flavours of pear and lychee. A full bodied luscious palate with a juicy acidity carries through the palate giving the wine great drinkability and pairing with a variety of spicier dishes.
