Deep purple in colour with ripe intense berry fruit and meaty characters, supported by intense sweet oak and complex yeast notes. A brooding dense palate, well-structured with ripe dark fruits and silky ripe tannins. Plush & lingering.

Dense in colour with loads of ripe red fruits, black pepper, and spicy oak aromatics. The palate is loaded with rich red plum and wild berry fruits, and shows well balanced tannin and a silky smooth yet savoury mouth feel.

Deep ruby-red coloured wine, of excellent structure, harmonious and slightly tannic. Excellent with red meat dishes, seasoned cheeses and game.

The palate is generously full and fruity with plush velvety tannins that lead on to a lingering tangy aftertaste. While ready to drink on release we expect this wine to improve for several years and live for well over a decade with careful cellaring.

The climate of the Barossa Valley is not dissimilar to the warm, dry regions of Europe where the origins of the Grenache can be traced. The region is held in very high regard for this varietal and boasts some of the oldest vines in Australia. The 2024 Bin 21 release immediately captivates with a bright and alluring perfume of floral notes and exotic spice. With fruit sourced from Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale, it delivers a harmonious balance of freshness and structure. A distinctive minerality immediately strikes the palate, a signature of the terroirs from which this Grenache hails. The acid is crunchy and invigorating, laying the foundation for a blend of red fruits that dance across the palate. Blueberry tart brings a balance of sweetness and acidity. The texture of the palate is notable, with papery tannins, suggesting an elegant and refined structure. Bin 23 derives its name from Cellar 23 at Magill Estate, where Pinot Noir barriques are often stored during maturation. Reflecting an evolving style, regional definition, and complexities of the many and varied Pinot Noir clones, Bin 23 Pinot Noir is an elegant, lighter-bodied inclusion in the Penfolds Collection. The 2024 vintage reveals vibrant raspberry fruits, savoury charcuterie nuances and bright acidity, framed by fine texture and cool-climate precision. Sourced from Tasmania, where ideal conditions yield grapes of purity and distinction. A savoury, cured meat quality enhances the wine's structure, providing a textural mouthfeel, while a tannic core of graphite provides further backbone. The fruit profile is both refined and elegant, showcasing an array of dark berries, fresh plums, and stone fruits. The wine's youthfulness is highlighted by bright white raspberry and tart cranberry. The acidity is crisp and lively.

The Cabernet Sauvignon grape varietal is widely planted across South Australia's premium wine regions, particularly in the Limestone Coast where grapes with tremendous structure and beautiful aromatics are found. Well-regarded since its launch in 2002, the Koonunga Hill Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the merits of multi-regional blending to Penfolds 'House Style'. A bold, full bodied wine displaying lovely aromatics, excellent structure, and great length.

Since its inception, Penfolds Koonunga Hill has always aimed to deliver quality, value and consistency. The original 1976 Koonunga Hill Claret is a legendary wine that is still drinking well today. Koonunga Hill Shiraz joined the range in 2002, a contemporary reflection of Penfolds multi-regional sourcing philosophy. Shiraz from the warmer districts of South Australia is carefully blended, with the Barossa Valley always well represented. Ripe plum, blueberry & sweet spice - undeniably South Australian Shiraz. The palate shows flint, liquorice, smoked meat & paprika. Integrated tannins remind us of the wine's place in the Penfolds family.

Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet is a reflection of the Penfolds winemaking style and philosophy. Sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, the wine is known for its full-flavoured style with excellent Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, firm yet well-rounded structure and balanced oak. Made as a traditional 'Australian blend', the Shiraz component provides fleshy fruit flavour while Cabernet Sauvignon provides a frame of fine grained tannins. Date, boysenberry & sweet cinnamon abound. Pair with grilled meats, lamb chops or charcuterie.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. The palate is plush with flavours balanced by fine, textural tannins.
